I am particularly fascinated with the intersection of cute and unsettling, things that are so soaked in their adorableness that they become a bit creepy. When I found these vintage 1960’s doll faces they seemed exactly that- both charming and spooky!
Thus the “Wonderful Creepy” hair accessories began! 😉 Each one is entirely unique, using re-purposed vintage textiles from the 1890s-1970s and all sorts of strange details.
They weigh almost nothing so they work beautifully in hair styles and can also be clipped to clothing (mounted on strong alligator clips). These lovely heads can also be hung from the wall, just use a bit of ribbon or string threaded through the back loops to do so. 🙂
