We had *so* much fun working the Bazaar of the Bizarre this past weekend in Toronto! It was wonderful to meet so many people and to show them our magical fortune telling fishes, heh. Our booth was a cacophony of laughing models, excited visitors, and glitter! We took loads of photos and we’ll have a full video covering the entire event- including many of the other vendors- shortly too! 😀
These are some snaps from my phone of our booth and my outfit for the day. Pardon the focus problems, I am still figuring out my new cell phone (Luddite much?).
Our theme for the booth was a Gloomth Girl’s Bedroom Floor. So lots of glitter, tinsel, strewn clothes, hand-written signs, toys, rosettes, and giant ink drawings by me! You can see our the new version of our bunnyhead mascot on the wall, I am sure he will be appearing lots more around here. 😀
The little table we had was sort of messy tea party themed! Complete with a fake cake to display our bangles! The table was filled with doilies, silver dishes, and loads of sparkly goodies. Including our upcoming new jewelry line (yes it’ll be on the site soon, we still need to photoshoot it).
We handed out candy, finger-traps, and “fortune telling fish”! It was amusing to see peoples’ reactions to our spectacle. 😉
My look for the day involved a “Chrysanthemum” dress (sans sleeves) made in pink retro cat fabric! Paired with several shades of gold and one of my antique dolls on my head! I posed for a *lot* of photos at the event so if you took one please send it to us! I’d love to see it. 🙂 (3rd photo was at 7am so I look a bit puffy and totally exhausted….ugh!)
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so great! To our awesome models- Kuroihitomi, Ashavari, and Sandra Von Ruin! To the House of Pomegranates for helping design and set up everything. And to everyone who came to see us!!!!!
