Winter Vampires

Winter is descending, the nights are growing longer and longer. Nocturnal things are moving in the icy air, the span of darkness stretched to the longest it will be all year. Under moonlit skies stretch beds of snow, or cluttered urban streets lit by electric lights- their beams’ reach seems shrunken in the cold.

Fall is generally associated with eerie things, but leave the golden autumn light to the goblins and witches- winter is the season for vampires, cold air like that of a crypt, blood on the snow.

Moving into our last collection before 2013 our thoughts are turning to vampires. Of the story that inspired so many others, and much of our modern vampire culture. Carmilla.

Come with us, into the story itself, into the cold night. Soon, very soon…..
