Polly Morgan’s Taxidermy Artwork

I came across photos of Polly Morgan‘s amazing taxidermy pieces a while back. They’re beautiful and haunting and a little bit grotesque, obviously right up my alley.

The carcasses used in her work have been donated by pet owners or found as roadkill etc. We love the idea of creating beauty out of decay. You might recognize her baby chicks from the cover of the Bravery’s “Stir The Blood” (if not, go get the damned album, it’s very good).

There are many more beautiful and eerie images on her website, so if you are not terribly sensitive to this sort of imagery we recommend exploring the galleries there.
