Model Interview- Jennike

We tend to work with the same people over and over, which results in our photoshoots being more like a fun get-together with friends than something stressful. Jennike modelled for Gloomth when we first made the transition to a regular clothing line (from one of a kind pieces). She was part of our initial relaunch and has ended up being a good friend of mine!

Jennike took the time to answer our Model Interview! 🙂

Name: Jennike

Sign: Scorpio

1. How did you get started modelling?

Actually… it was back in 2004. I was working with a guy who was organizing a fashion show to get some recognition out for the local clothing designers. He asked if I knew anyone who might be interested in modeling and I said “uhhh… me!” We all had a total blast and I got a few great pics back but never really followed up until I started dating a photographer who introduced me to model mayhem. From there I got a few more shoots, but I’ve since broken up with both… Of course I met Taeden so that was a definite bonus!

2. How long have you been modeling? Do you consider yourself a “professional model”?
Absolutely not! I’m in it for fun, and to get a few good shots that I can hang onto…

3. How did you choose your Gloomth model nickname?
My nickname is actually the same nickname I use on a lot of websites… I guess it came from when I signed up on MM. I couldn’t think of anything other than the nickname my grandmother used to use for me. (Cue everyone: “awwwwwww….”)
and it’s pronounced “Jennee-keh” lol!

4. Tell us about the craziest photoshoot you’ve ever participated in! Any silly mishaps?
Oh wow! Not too many of those, but there was the time I was taken to a park and I had to change in the backseat of my car. Or there was a shoot we titled: “come to the dark side, we have cookies” We did just that; made cookies… and flour fights ensued.

5. What’s your favorite Gloomth outfit?
I am still in LOVE with my “gunmetal sulphide” Dark silver Satin party dress.

8. What do you do outside of modeling?
I have a day job. And when I have free time I love exercising and getting tattoos. (no way!) Pole dancing and rollerblading are my faves.
I also dabble in chainmaille jewelery. Most of which Gloomth is gracious enough to be selling on consignment for me. *YOU CAN SEE JENNIKE’S JEWELRY HERE*

9. How would you describe your personal style? Do you prefer to dress up or be a slouch?
I believe that a lady is defined as a woman who takes every effort to look her best when she leaves the house. I consider myself a lady.

10. What five things do you have with you in your bag/purse/whatever at all times?
Hand moisutrizer (pale skin is sensitive skin)
Hand sanitizer
A book to read
My wallet and all it entails
Chapstick.

11. If you had a marketing slogan or tag-line for yourself what would it be?
*crickets chirping* I don’t market myself… but I think a lot of people judge me without knowing me… perhaps don’t judge a book by it’s cover? Does that count?

12. What do you spend most of your online time doing?
I try to stay offline because I’m on a computer all the time at work, but there is the allure of online shopping and of course FACECRACK!!!

14. Top three worst movies you’ve ever seen?
Dead like me, GREAT tv series… but the movie made me sad.
Team America: World police.
and last but not least, The Cable Guy. You remember that one with Jim Carrey? Only movie I seriously considered walking out on but stuck it through to the end. It’s like a train wreck and now if I see it on t.v. I can’t change the channel.

15. Where else can we find you online?
I tweet! _Jennike_ but it’s private for now 😉
