Send in the clowns! It’s been a second since I’ve done any clown-themed photoshoots for Gloomth and I was excited to create this antique clown inspired photoshoot with model Giggles. Looking back I have been doing variations of clown themes in our Gloomth shoots since about 2016, that’s a lot of red cheek circles. 😉
Giggles is wearing our “Scary Clowns” print dress in it’s sleeveless version! This dress is available on our site in sizes XS-5XL and also with long sleeves.
My inspiration for this shoot was to create something less “fashion clown” and more reminiscent of Edwardian clowns and vintage styles. I added net sleeves, ruffled collar, striped stockings, a light petticoat, and a vintage horn as accessories! I filled Giggles’ hair with a flower crown I made out of old millinery flowers and gold star hair clips. I wanted to keep the colors muted and the focus on the chaotic feeling of the fabric of our dress.
