Ouji and Boystyle Inspiration

Attending something where a skirt or dress won’t work? Craving a style that’s still cute and charming but isn’t casual? Boyish looks like “ouiji/oujisama” and  “boystyle” are a great alternative to a frilly petticoat-filled dress or skirt, and are still unique and wonderful!

Ouji or Oujisama is a Prince or Prince Lolita inspired look! Imagine a darling young prince strolling with his lolita sweetheart, and that’s sort of the idea. Bloomers, little top hats, ruffles, bow-ties, knee high socks, and platforms can all be spotted in Ouji coordinates! Sometimes blended with pirate or aristocratic motifs like treasure chests and tailed overcoats.

Our “Mon Chou” bloomers would make a great start to a Ouji outfit! Pair them with our “Luxy” blouse for an adorable ruffled style. Add printed knee socks, lace up platform shoes, a bow tie, and a little tophat to complete the look.

For a more grown-up or aristocratic Boystyle look we’d pair our “Mon Chou” with our “Aristocracy” blouse. On top we’d layer our “Vrai Noir” on top for added detail and fanciness. Finish with gloves, a top hat, and pointed lace up shoes.
