Our packaging is always changing. Originally we “meat” wrapped each order in real butcher’s paper and stamped them with blood red logos and finished the parcels with kitchen twine! Which was super labor intense and once our business grew to a certain size was virtually impossible to continue (sadly, as it really did look great). Then we wrapped things in layers of tissue inside of stamped butcher’s paper bags, and boxed them (boring) in hand-stamped boxes- but boxes aren’t water or damage proof and they are time consuming to assemble. They also make taking things to the post office without a car bloody annoying (did you know I bike everywhere? I’m not a hippie, I just can’t drive- okay I’m a little bit of a hippie). Also Canada Post charges for parcel pick up (grr) and I won’t pay for what I can do myself (cheap AND a hippie, haha).

We have upgraded our packaging yet again! Or simplified it, I should say. Now your order will be folded and wrapped inside a sturdy black paper envelope (tucked in with stickers/fliers) and then sealed with our logo sticker! This is inside of a water resistant and tear-proof polyethylene mailer (hand stamped with little bats- for a spooky touch). These should fit in most peoples’ mailboxes and makes packing super quick for us. I can also take a remarkable quantity of orders to deliver to the post office on my bike.
