Model Interview- Mistress McCutchan!

Recently we welcomed the gorgeous green haired Mistress McCutchan of “Morbid Outlook” to a Gloomth photoshoot! Needless to say she rocked our clothes! 😀
Gothic Royalty

She filled out our Model Interview!

How did you get started modelling? How long have you been modeling? Do you consider yourself a “professional model”?
I don’t really model, I just happen to get my picture taken! It’s tough being in front of a camera and standing still long enough to have a picture taken, I never know what to do with myself. Back when I was a teenager, there was a lot of dressing up and snapping dramatic pictures. I suppose some things just don’t change!

How did you choose your Gloomth model nickname?

I don’t have a specific Gloomth nickname, I’ve just been Mistress McCutchan since I was 17. It started sort of as a joke; when Elvira’s movie, “Mistress of the Dark” came out, I got called Elvira and Mistress for that very reason… then Mistress came into use sort as a title.

Tell us about the craziest photoshoot you’ve ever participated in! Any silly mishaps?
Nothing too crazy in my experience, but photoshoots can amazingly happen anywhere. In my bedroom as a teenager, cemeteries, in a tree, in a dance studio… and lack of sleep makes lots of things really funny and inspiration comes in mysterious ways!

What’s your favorite Gloomth outfit?
I love my Aristocracy shirt! It works really beautifully from office to evening!

What do you do outside of modeling?

The question isn’t what do I do. The question is what don’t I do. I design websites for a living. I direct a tribal fusion bellydance troupe. I’m editrix of Morbid Outlook Magazine. I DJ. I make jewellery. I knit. I cook and bake tasty vegan food. I travel. I study kathak. I’m re-learning how to play piano after almost 25-30 years. I’m a pilates practitioner. I attempt to understand French and have a love of language (German, Hindi)

How would you describe your personal style? Do you prefer to dress up or be a slouch?
Gothic bohemian. My wardrobe is generally black or green, and I like period looks or ethnic inspired looks.
Even in the most casual of situations, I believe in having style. Sometimes a little red lipstick goes a long way!

What five things do you have with you in your bag/purse/whatever at all times?

My ipod, because I need a soundtrack at all times.
Lipstick, generally purple.
My wallet, full of cards and id and lots of people’s business cards
Sunglasses
My to-do list

If you had a marketing slogan or tag-line for yourself what would it be?
That Green Haired Chick

What do you spend most of your online time doing?
If I’m not working/designing a site or ad banner, probably being a goober on Facebook or looking at clothes.

Top three worst movies you’ve ever seen?
Do I really want to admit this??? Boy, there have been some real doozies and hours of my life I’ll never get back! 😛

Where else can we find you online?
I have an Etsy shop with my knitted things and jewellery as well as on Morbid Outlook Magazine, although the zine has been on hiatus as revamping and redesigning takes place.
