Fall is finally beginning to appear here, little flecks of gold shimmering in the trees, cool mornings, and local veg are filling the grocer’s shelves. There’s something very classically Gothic about late September and October, Halloween aside. Mists in the graveyard and bats in the sky. The riot of color in the leaves is such a beautiful contrast to dark colors and layers. And then there’s velvet, which I have purred about my preference for during this season already.

Last fall we shot a limited edition dress called our “Melancholia” with Cromaggia out in the autumn scenery. Just to mix it up we left it black and white. 🙂
