This summer the wildfires were raging in Northern Ontario (and all over Canada) again. There’s something deeply unsettling about the sickly orange they turn the sky, the scent of woodsmoke in July, ash in the air. Even in Toronto their impact could be seen.

During this evening shoot with Maddie we captured some of the eerie sunset light from the fires. It makes the sky incredible but it’s such a stark reminder of how poorly the climate is doing…
