Liminal Spaces and Eyepatches

Recently I did this whole creepy eyepatch shoot with Maddyvstheinternet, some of which was in some eerie hallways and some in a set I had built.

I love the look of my clothing designs in liminal or eerie spaces, forgotten hallways and weird basements. The city is full of these half used spaces and they make such great shoot backdrops!

Maddyvstheinternet is wearing our “Placebo” dress layered over a white thrifted blouse with layered print and fishnet tights. It’s an easy way to give this dress more of a goth vibe than a traditional lolita one. This outfit has a very early-2000s vibe to it also! We also shot this outfit in the set I’d built for our Brain themed photos earlier in the day.

I’ve been shooting video with this toy digital camera I got at a thrift store this winter and the results are so bizarre. It really takes terrible quality videos but I’m really enjoying playing with lofi video and photography right now. Filming with it in the stairwell really captured the creepy vibes I think!!!

@gloomth

It was all a dream, you wake up in 2004. Been playing with this silly kids digital camera I found at a thrift store. There’s something strangely comforting about low res technology in a world so full of realistic lies…. If you’d like one of our Placebo dresses they’re available online or in our IRL store Doll Funeral in Toronto.
