Recently I came across the pieces created by New Orleans artist Cathy Rose! Her sculptures have a mournful and peculiar tone to them that really resonated with me.

Primarily figurative her sculptures seem like images from a dream or nightmare. Tangled in tree roots, hanging from rusting cord, adrift in strange boats, or sprouting cicada’s wings. With wind-tossed hair and milky skin.
