The Harajuku Tarot Deck!

You may have noticed some of the ink drawings that appear in my Personal Friday updates occasionally. They are part of a side project I am working on with the House of Pomegranates Press, which I am very excited about and can finally discuss here as we’ve been keeping it under wraps for ages! 😀

This project is the “Harajuku Tarot Deck“!!!!! We are creating an entire illustrated tarot deck blended with Japanese street fashion styles and our own magical twist. The deck’s illustrations are based on the Rider Wait tarot deck, which is the one most people are familiar with.

Author David Keyes, who has been reading tarot for many years, will be writing the guide to the cards for the project, and Gillian Holmes is handling the graphic design. I am responsible for the illustrations themselves! 🙂

We’re so excited to share this project with you and there will surely be some Gloomth collaborations mixed in! We’ll be hosting all kinds of contests for it and will have merch available for the deck shortly. All the regular updates for the deck will appear over on that blog, so we can keep this one Gloomth-centric (for the most part).

In the meantime feel free to check out the separate blog for the Harajuku Tarot Deck and we hope you are as excited about it as we are!

You can also follow the deck on facebook.
