Recently we participated in the organization of an amazing event in Toronto- Lost At Sea! A magical evening of art and inspiration. It was also the launch of the collaborative video we created earlier this winter for our Carmilla project with the House of Pomegranates Press and a side project of ours that I haven’t formally launched here yet. π
The evening featured readings, performances, and presentations by a variety of eccentrics and incredible talents. I was the emcee for the night, which went fairly well despite my being so nervous I thought I might barf down the front of my frothy pink dress.
Here are some quick event snaps from the evening for those of you not present. π
We had a string quartet! The Cecelia String Quartet graciously agreed to come and perform at the event and they absolutely blew me away. I have never heard that sort of music live let alone within arm’s reach. I don’t think I breathed through the entire performance.
Several Gloomth models were present and drifting about in our clothes through the evening. The ferocious Fine Lines was there and Grayling read a portion of “Carmilla” and mesmerized the audience.

Our incredibly talented model Nymeria had also created an incredible sweets table for the event with her new company- Cakes Cove! The edible coral was what caught my eye, but everything was beautiful and devoured by the attendees.
We want to thank everyone who came to the event or helped promote it! It was a resounding success and the first of many wonderful collaborations ahead. π

The event turned out so well! π
It would be great if we could start doing these salons a couple times a year. It is a lot of work but there are so many awesome independent artists who should be seen!
