A Look Back

Recently the Gloomth website has been given a fresh look. Whenever we’re digging through our site design files we come across all these nuggets of our previous incarnations, which we’ve kept as a sort of timeline to remind ourselves where we have been.

Our original look had a lot of pastel pink throughout. We were still doing a lot of one-of-a-kind clothing so the pages were smaller and the descriptions less heavy since they had to be changed so frequently. Keys, skulls, and a scanned tin-type photo frame. We were dabbling in all sorts of things as you can see on the navigation list. My days were spent making small things and altering clothes.

This is actually one of our *first* range of designs! We switched from creating one-offs to having a small selection of our own designs available in small, medium, and large. The photos you see are also from our first real Gloomth photoshoot (which I will always remember as the one where I had a fever and couldn’t manage anything or help very well).

The website pages were very dark, the pink was replaced with the dried-blood red and there were more descriptions and photos since the pieces were more expensive. This is also around the time of our “Meat Wrapping” where we’d wrap each parcel in butcher’s paper and stamp it with a blood colored Gloomth logo, heh.

Creepy, right?

It’s interesting to see where we have been and how the website looked. It has been an incredible journey and we have changed so much as a brand and as individuals! 😀
