Strange Beauty

I’ve never gravitated towards the typically beautiful, as everyone gazes at the petals of the flower I’m in awe of the tiny mites living in it’s centre. Moss over roses, mice over horses. So when I saw these photos of spiderweb shrouded trees in Pakistan I nearly wept. They look like Victorian death shrouds draped over each tree!

There is so much mysterious beauty in the world. The flooding in Pakistan has caused millions of spiders (and other spinning insects) to fill the trees with web, giving them a ghostly appearance.

What an unusual and incredible thing, and to think little spiders are responsible for it.

More photos and an article on the phenomenon can be found (HERE).
